The U.S. Can Do Things That Will Be Bad for Russia: Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he can financially target Russia. This was reported by The Guardian.
According to him, he will do this if the latter does not agree to a 30-day ceasefire in the war with Ukraine.
“If Putin refuses, I think we can hope for tough measures. I don’t know the details yet, but we are talking about sanctions and strengthening Ukraine,” Zelensky said a few days ago.
Later, the White House announced that Trump’s envoy for the Middle East, Steve Whitcoff, will be in Moscow later this week.
Trump did not directly promise sanctions against Russia if Putin does not sign the agreement. He said that he can financially do things that would be very bad for Russia.
“I don’t want to do that, as I want to achieve peace,” Trump concluded.
