"Shame on You, Stay Within Your Limits": Ararat Mirzoyan Loses His Temper
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, lost his temper after a government meeting and insulted journalists. When journalists inquired whether he would hold a press briefing, receiving a negative response, they asked, "Why, do you only give interviews to your Turkish counterparts?" This prompted Mirzoyan to insult the reporter, stating, "I consider what you just said to be profoundly uncultured, crude, and unprofessional. This is not journalism; this is a political act—shame on you!"
Journalists retaliated, saying it was shameful for the minister to come and scold them while having his hands in his pockets. In response, Mirzoyan said, "If any of you claim that I am only responding to Turkish counterparts, I have every right to say—shame on you." The journalists responded that the minister was aggressive and not engaging with them, resulting in such confrontations.
