Criminal Prosecution Against Hovik Aghazaryan and Taron Margaryan
The Prosecutor General of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, has submitted requests to the National Assembly regarding the consent to initiate criminal proceedings against Taron Margaryan, a member of the 'Honorary' faction, and independent MP Hovik Aghazaryan. This information has been obtained from the National Assembly's website.
The request concerning Hovik Aghazaryan is based on a case under investigation by the Anti-Corruption Committee relating to bribery for exporting small cattle. The request to lift the immunity of Taron Margaryan is related to a case initiated in 2020. No clarifications have been provided by the prosecutor's office regarding the submission of the requests.
