The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, has stated that clear guidelines exist regarding the conditions under which measures may be implemented to curb the spread of infections. The minister emphasized the importance of not compromising educational programs during the peak seasons of acute respiratory virus outbreaks, which typically occur between November and March, and that any measures taken should be utilized judiciously to ensure effectiveness.

According to her, if the percentage of absenteeism in schools due to illnesses increases by 25%, a switch to remote learning may be carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports. “At this moment, and in the period preceding this, the epidemiological situation has not provided grounds for such a decision,” she added.
