How to Get Reimbursement for Medical Expenses: Avanesyan
The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, encourages parents to be attentive while making expenses, so they can receive reimbursements. "If two members of a family are working and paying income tax, they can receive a total refund of 100,000 drams solely for medical expenses. For healthcare costs, it is 50,000 drams, for educational expenses, it is 100,000 drams, but in total not exceeding 100,000 drams. Each category has a separate threshold, but the cumulative amount should not exceed 100,000 drams," stated Avanesyan.
She urged individuals to pay with non-cash methods when utilizing healthcare services and to obtain a receipt. "Any individual who works and pays income tax fills out a declaration; they can receive up to 50,000 drams in reimbursements for the cost of the package obtained from their insurance company," added the Minister of Health.
