Reasons Behind the Arrest of City Hall Employees Revealed
Within the framework of a criminal case being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia, related to the arrests that took place at the Yerevan City Hall the day before, charges have been filed against 11 individuals. The criminal case pertains to bribery and receiving bribes. This information was provided today, February 6, in response to an inquiry from NEWS.am by representatives of the Anti-Corruption Committee.
"For 4 of the 11 defendants, including two officials from the city hall, requests for the application of detention as a preventive measure have been submitted to the court, all of which have been satisfied. For the others, alternative measures not involving detention have been selected," stated the Anti-Corruption Committee.
It is noteworthy that among those arrested are current and former officials of the Yerevan city hall, including former head of the Urban Development and Land Control Department Robert Darbinyan, head of the second division of the Urban Development and Land Control Department Mikael Ghimoyan, and head of the Public Order Protection Service Aram Gyulzadyan.
