Yerevan's Written Proposal Receives Verbal Response from Baku
The regional infrastructure opening initiative proposed by Yerevan has received a verbal response from Baku. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a press conference today, noting that he does not consider it appropriate to disclose the content of the response at this time, as it is not yet official.
Pashinyan recalled that this proposal regarding unobstructed passage was presented by the Armenian side to Azerbaijan after discussions held in Kazan. “We have not received a written and official response to the written proposal; we have only received a verbal response. I do not consider it appropriate to share that response in front of this audience; I cannot disclose the nuances while I still see a possibility that Azerbaijan may accept it. Because my public mention of it, providing details unilaterally, could become a pretext or excuse for rejection, accusing us of violating diplomatic correctness,” Pashinyan said.
