At the End of Tavush's 'Border Delimitation', We Will Have a Vulnerable Armenia, Says Tigran Abrahamyan
At the end of Tavush's 'border delimitation', we will not only have a more vulnerable Tavush, but also an Armenia with a precarious outlook. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the 'Honorable' faction in the National Assembly, on his Facebook page.
“I visited the Tavush region. I conducted certain field studies in various border communities and problematic areas. In each village, there is a general understanding of the 'border delimitation' process that specifically concerns them or neighboring villages; however, in my assessment, there is not a complete understanding of the collective threat at the regional level among everyone. Of course, not only today but during my previous visits, I have met a large number of individuals who have a better grasp of the situation, better than any expert, in terms of dangers, damages, and serious consequences.”
“Our main problem is that Azerbaijan has priorities and is trying to build the entire process around its own discretion and principles. Under conditions of positional inequality, it has utilized and continues to exploit elements related to demarcation in its favor. If this process continues along this path, we will not only end up with a Tavush that is more vulnerable at the end of the 'border delimitation', but also an Armenia burdened with escalating challenges and a precarious outlook.”
