Georgia's Foreign Ministry Issues Statement Regarding Armenia and Azerbaijan
Georgia is a candidate country for EU membership, and we must take steps in that direction to achieve our ultimate goal. This requires joint efforts from both the EU and Georgia. This was stated by Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili.
Botchorishvili is in Baku, where she met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. “At the same time, our relations with neighboring countries are of great importance; this is very significant. We also have a strategic partnership with Armenia, which is also important. If necessary, Georgia will use all its potential to ensure peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” she said.
