The Risks of Military Confrontation Between Nuclear Powers Are High, Says Shoigu
Internationally, the geopolitical competition among major states is intensifying, and the risks of military confrontation between nuclear powers are increasing. This was stated by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergey Shoigu.
"Against the backdrop of growing conflicts and the strengthening of geopolitical competition in the world, the risks of military confrontation involving major states, including nuclear powers, are rising," said Shoigu.
According to Shoigu, Western countries have unleashed an "ideological and value-based aggression" against Russia and Belarus and are trying to strike at the political situation in these countries not only through economic sanctions but also by destabilizing the internal political environment.
"The attempts to destabilize the internal situation, undermine social foundations, and impose alien neoliberal ideology do not cease," noted the Secretary of the Russian Security Council.
