Air Pollution Decreases in Yerevan
A decrease in the concentration of unclassified dust particles has been observed in Yerevan. This is reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.
During the period from January 15 to 20, the average weekly concentration of dust in the Kentron administrative district has decreased by 1.3 times compared to the previous week (January 8-15).
Since the last days of October, dust concentration in the Kentron administrative district (Lusavorich-Agatangeghos intersection) had consistently exceeded the daily average concentration. However, no exceedances were observed on January 19 and 20.
On January 19, an exceedance of the daily concentration was only recorded in the Nor Nork administrative district, at 1.2 times, and on January 20, at 1.1 times. No exceedances in dust concentration were observed in the Shengavit and Arabkir administrative districts.
