Prospects for Armenia-Iran Cooperation Discussed
On January 9, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, received Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Secretary of the Security Council welcomed the visit of the Iranian Security Council Secretary to Armenia and emphasized the importance of high-level reciprocal visits, which are based on the necessity of developing multifaceted bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran. In turn, Ahmadian noted that the bilateral relations have solid foundations and nothing can change or undermine them.
During the meeting, the parties addressed regional processes and, in this context, the prospects for Armenia-Iran cooperation. Expressing satisfaction with the developing bilateral relations, the interlocutors discussed the progress of previously reached agreements and outlined new avenues for cooperation. The development of economic relations was emphasized, and ideas were exchanged regarding infrastructure development projects.
