Under What Conditions Will Zelensky Run Again
Vladimir Zelensky has decided to run for a second presidential term on the condition that the former Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament and Ukraine’s ambassador to Great Britain, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, does not announce his candidacy. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication Telegraph.
According to the publication, the decision regarding the second term was made with a trust level of 52 percent, indicating he still has chances of winning. Zelensky will only run if Zaluzhnyi does not announce his candidacy.
Zelensky’s term ended on May 20. The presidential elections in Ukraine have been canceled in 2024, citing martial law and nationwide mobilization.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that, based on preliminary assessments, the only legitimate authority in Ukraine is the parliament and the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.
