Germany's Airports Unable to Verify Passengers' Data Due to Outages
Germany's airports have halted the operation of the police computer system designed to verify passengers' data from countries outside the Schengen Area, reports Bild newspaper.
According to information provided to the publication by the federal police, the malfunction of law enforcement computer systems has affected all airports in Germany, forcing staff to manually verify incoming passengers' data.
Bild also reported that the malfunction has caused long queues at the airports. There is no information available regarding the causes of the technical failure.
