Armenian Ambassador to Belarus Will Not Return to Minsk
The Armenian ambassador to Belarus, Razmik Khumaryan, will not return to Minsk after being recalled to Armenia, according to Sputnik Armenia. Khumaryan was invited to Armenia for consultations back in June 2024. It is noted that he has not returned to Belarus since then.
Relations between Yerevan and Minsk have significantly cooled in recent times. Tensions escalated among officials from both countries following comments made by the President of Belarus regarding the outcomes of the Nagorno-Karabakh war. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan later stated that the Belarusian leader effectively admitted to providing assistance to Azerbaijan, and prohibited Armenian officials from traveling to Belarus while Alexander Lukashenko remains in power.
