Drivers Will Not Be Required to Carry Their Driver's License
A series of legislative initiatives have been developed that aim to improve public safety, streamline administration, and ease the lives of citizens. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Soon, drivers will not be required to carry their driver's license. If a driver does not have their license on them, but is qualified to drive, and this is confirmed by a patrol officer through a programmatic check, then they will not be subject to administrative liability.
Driving a vehicle will be criminalized if a person does not possess a driver's license but drives a vehicle, thereby placing themselves in an advantageous position compared to other drivers and endangering the lives of other participants in traffic. In such cases, they will be subject to administrative liability for the first instance, followed by criminal liability.
For citizens of the Republic of Armenia with dual citizenship, the procedure for driving vehicles with foreign driver's licenses in Armenia will be simplified.
The sale of knives and similar items with secret locks to minors will be prohibited. The proposed projects will be submitted for circulation in the coming days.
