Aliyev States When Armenia Will Leave the CSTO
Armenia has effectively left the CSTO, and will do so de jure once it receives permission from Washington. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company and RIA Novosti.
“It is clear where Armenia is headed. They have de facto left the CSTO. According to our information, the only reason they have not officially exited the CSTO is that they have not yet received permission from the State Department. After obtaining this permission, they will leave,” Aliyev said.
