Trump Accuses Turkey of Toppling Assad's Regime in Syria
The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, has stated that Turkey is behind the downfall of President Bashar al-Assad's government in Syria. This was reported by TASS.
Trump made this announcement during his first press conference following his victory in the November elections, held at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. “But no one knows who is behind the other side (the new Syrian government), but I know. It’s Turkey. Okay, Turkey is behind it. He (Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan) is a very smart man,” Trump said.
