How Many Casualties Have There Been in Ukraine Since the Conflict Began
Every week, more than 10,000 people are killed or wounded in Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated during a speech at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's European branch, which was published on the alliance's website.
"Every day this war brings more and more devastation and death; since February 2022, the number of casualties has exceeded 1 million," said Mark Rutte.
According to the NATO Secretary General, Vladimir Putin is trying to erase Ukraine from the map. "Russia's economy is in a state of war. The Russian defense industry is producing a huge number of tanks, armored vehicles, and ammunition. Russia is preparing for a prolonged confrontation not only against Ukraine but also against NATO,” he added.
