Syria Has a New Prime Minister: Who Is He?
The head of Syria's transitional government has been appointed as Muhammad al-Bashir, the former Minister of Development of Idlib. He has already held meetings with the former Prime Minister from the Assad era to form a new cabinet.
According to Al Jazeera, Muhammad al-Bashir will be appointed as the head of the Syrian transitional government. It is expected that he will be tasked with forming a new government to manage the transition.
It is important to note that on November 27, armed opposition groups launched a large-scale attack against the Syrian army in Aleppo and Idlib provinces. By the evening of December 7, they had seized control of several key cities, including Aleppo, Hama, Daraa, and Homs. As of December 8, opposition forces entered Damascus, forcing the Syrian government troops to retreat.
