Abkhazia Appeals to Russia
Abkhazia has requested Russia to resume social payments within the republic. This request was sent to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin by his Abkhaz counterpart Valery Bganba, according to RT.
"I have sent a letter to Mishustin asking for the unfreezing of co-financing of salaries and social payments in general," the politician stated, as reported by TASS.
As of September 1, Russia suspended social payments concerning teachers, doctors, and security forces in Abkhazia.
It is noteworthy that in Abkhazia, internet service will be suspended from midnight to 7 AM starting December 10. According to the authorities, the country's mining farms consume excessive amounts of electricity. Additionally, schools and kindergartens will be closed from December 10 due to an energy deficit.
