Lavrov on the Breakdown of Negotiations with Kiev
According to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the West is concealing its role in the disruption of negotiations between Moscow and Kiev in spring 2022 by blaming it on the Bucha incident, which has now been conveniently forgotten.
In an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Lavrov stated, “It was David Arakhamia, the head of the 'Servant of the People' faction led by Vladimir Zelensky, who was in charge of the Ukrainian delegation in Istanbul, that said the then-Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, came and told them to continue fighting. Johnson denied this. However, Arakhamia, who was present at the negotiations, insists that it was Boris Johnson who made this statement. Others claim it was Russian President Vladimir Putin who disrupted the deal due to the Bucha 'massacre.' But curiously, they no longer mention the Bucha massacre. This is what I am talking about,” he emphasized during the interview.
