US to Allocate Up to $825 Million to Ukraine
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in ensuring the stability of Ukraine's energy system. This was reported by the press service of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry on their Telegram channel.
“Andriy Sibiga and Antony Blinken signed a memorandum of understanding between the governments of Ukraine and the United States at NATO headquarters regarding cooperation in ensuring the stability of Ukraine's energy system,” the statement said.
The memorandum provides for the possibility of up to $825 million in assistance from the US. According to the Foreign Ministry, the document “creates a regulatory framework to improve the stability of the energy system, particularly for the restoration of its critical infrastructure, the implementation of distributed generation, reforms in the energy sector, and the transition towards a low-carbon, competitive, and European-integrated economy.”
