What Promise Did Lukashenko Make to Trump?
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that if Donald Trump, who won the U.S. presidential elections, succeeds in ending wars, Minsk will nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Lukashenko reminded that during the election campaign, Trump promised to end wars, including in Ukraine, if elected president. “If he does this, we will send a request for the Nobel Prize, and he will be awarded for doing good. There is hope that he will fulfill his promises. But America is not Belarus; they might forget some things. Nevertheless, we hope that he will keep his promise,” Lukashenko was quoted by the state BelTA agency.
