“His crocodile tears do not interest anyone”: Georgian Prime Minister on the President
“His crocodile tears do not interest anyone,” said the Prime Minister regarding President Salome Zurabishvili's discontent that the Minister of Internal Affairs has not responded to her calls.
“Salome Zurabishvili has nothing to do with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Internal Affairs; this is a parliamentary republic where there is a vertical line, there is a government, there is a subordination system, and Salome Zurabishvili must respect this system,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
Zurabishvili had previously tried to reach out to Vakhtang Gomelauri, asking for a quicker and more effective police response at polling stations.
