VIDEO: Tense Situation at School No. 20, Strike Followed by Protest
A tense situation is currently unfolding at Yerevan's John Kirakosyan School No. 20, where students have declared a strike. They are chanting "Babajanyan" as they walk through the corridors, demanding that the school's deputy director, Victoria Babajanyan, be appointed as the new director.
In an interview with Auroranews, the students expressed their discontent with the Yerevan municipality's decision to appoint an unfamiliar and foreign individual as the new director. "We have nothing against the newly appointed director, but our demand is for the former acting director Babajanyan to return," said one student.
Today, at 2 PM, the students are preparing to hold a protest in the school's yard.
