Zelensky's Office Issues Important Statement
The head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Andriy Yermak, has stated that President Volodymyr Zelensky has not prohibited negotiations with Russia. This was mentioned by the official in an interview with the ICTV television channel.
In response to a reporter's question about how Ukraine can invite the Russian Federation to the next peace summit if negotiations with Russia are prohibited by presidential decree, Yermak replied that only direct negotiations with Vladimir Putin are forbidden by Zelensky.
The National Security and Defense Council's decision pertains to the impossibility of negotiating with Putin. Regarding the potential participation of Russian representatives, our position remains unchanged: when the plan is ready, we do not rule out the presence of representatives from the Russian Federation at the second summit, to whom this program may be presented,” the official noted.
