Which Presidential Candidate Billionaires Support in the U.S.
Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is supported by 76 billionaires, while her Republican rival Donald Trump has the backing of 49, according to Forbes magazine.
“Our analysis shows that 76 billionaires support Harris, while 49 support Trump,” the publication reports.
According to the magazine, among Harris's supporters are former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, Facebook's Dustin Moskovitz, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, film director Steven Spielberg, Netflix president Reed Hastings, and U.S. Special Representative for Economic Recovery in Ukraine Penny Pritzker.
The publication also states that Trump enjoys broad support from American industrial magnates, including Timothy Danny, CEO of CrownQuest Operating in the oil and gas sector, and Harold Hamm, co-founder and former president of the American retail chain Home Depot.
Forbes also notes that some billionaires have yet to endorse either candidate, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and Google co-founder Sergey Brin.
