Detention of Those Illegally Imprisoned in Baku Extended
The detention periods for former Presidents of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, Arkadi Ghukasian, Bako Sahakyan, former Foreign Minister David Babayan, National Assembly Speaker David Ishkhanyan, and General David Manukyan, who were illegally detained by Baku, have been extended, Azerbaijani media reports.
Recently, Baku has brought new charges against them, alleging their involvement in the destruction of historical and cultural monuments.
It is worth noting that the political and military leaders of Artsakh have been unlawfully imprisoned in Baku since September 2023. Following the complete occupation of Artsakh, Azerbaijani forces detained and transferred eight representatives of the former and current political and military leadership of Artsakh to Baku.
