Photos: Damage to Israeli Base from Iranian Missile Strike
Following Iran's large-scale missile operation, media outlets have released photographs documenting the extent of damage inflicted on Israel’s Negev Air Force Base, one of the targets of the Iranian missile strike.
According to ISNA, the "Sadegh-2" operation was conducted on Tuesday evening within the framework of Iran's right to self-defense and based on international law against Israel. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that 90% of the firepower successfully hit their targets.
Meanwhile, satellite images published by the Associated Press show the damage to structures at Negev Air Force Base, which was targeted in the Iranian missile strike on October 1st. The Israeli Air Force operations conducted within Iranian airspace reportedly caused “no damage.” According to the Israeli military, the missile affected administrative buildings and service areas at the base.
Satellite images indicate that Iranian missiles struck the Negev Air Force Base structure and caused damage. The photographs reveal significant damage to the roofs of buildings adjacent to the main runway, with large debris scattered around.
Channel 13 of Israeli television had previously reported that the military acknowledged damage to the air force headquarters due to the Iranian attack on Tuesday evening, yet stated that its infrastructure remained unharmed. Israeli media indicates that Iranian missiles have destroyed fighter jet buildings and headquarters at the bases.
The Israeli military has not yet responded to requests for comments on the satellite imagery. Negev houses the Israeli Air Force's most advanced aircraft, including American F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters. It remains unclear from the satellite images whether the aircraft or fighter jets were on the ground at the time.
