Rosatom Begins Research on Armenian NPP's Radioactive Waste Storage
Rosatom Service and the Experimental-Demonstrational Center for the Decommissioning of Uranium-Graphite Nuclear Reactors have initiated research on the radioactive waste storage of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant. This was reported by the press service of Rosatom Service.
The works aim to assess the possibility of ensuring the safe and reliable maintenance of the Armenian NPP and to extend its operational lifespan until 2036.
It is noted that Rosatom Service has commenced the study of the building and structures complex of the Armenian NPP. As part of the project, priority will be given to investigating the solid waste storage facility.
