32,000 NATO Troops Concentrated Near Belarusian Border
32,000 NATO troops are concentrated near the Belarusian border, stated Valery Revenko, assistant to the Belarusian Minister of Defense for international military cooperation.
“The replenishment of the armed forces continues, particularly in the European Union. In the European region, we are already observing up to 32,000 military personnel from both the U.S. and NATO European member states,” he said.
Earlier, the Belarusian Security Council announced the concentration of 14,000 Ukrainian troops at the border. President Alexander Lukashenko also noted that about ten attack drones from Ukraine violated the republic's border.
Alexander Wolfovich, the Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, stated that security and defense of the state border in the south of the republic have been strengthened to eliminate the possibility of a surprise attack. “The border has been reinforced, additional armed forces formations and other troops and groups have been mobilized. At the same time, special attention is being paid to enhancing the effectiveness of the comprehensive countermeasure and anti-diversion operations system against drones,” added Wolfovich.
