80% of the Peace Treaty has Already Been Agreed, Says Aliyev
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced during an international conference in Italy that 80% of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan has already been agreed upon.
“We can achieve peace in the South Caucasus, and today in the peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, we see that this is possible. About 80% of the text of the peace treaty has already been agreed upon; we have already reached the process of delimitation and demarcation. Yes, it is a small step, but it is a step in the right direction,” said Aliyev.
It is noteworthy that recently the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated that 13 out of 17 articles in the latest draft of the peace treaty have been fully agreed upon, as well as the title and the preamble.
