Russia Expects Clear Assessment from IAEA Following Kursk NPP Visit: Zakharova
Russia expects a more precise and objective assessment from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) based on the outcomes of its visit to the Kursk nuclear power plant. This statement was made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“We see and evaluate the assessments and the work of this organization, but each time we, of course, want to express the position of this organization more objectively and more clearly, not in favor of our country, nor to confirm Moscow’s position, but in favor of the advocacy for one specific purpose: to ensure security and prevent the scenario from developing along a disastrous path, which is prompted by the Kyiv regime,” said Zakharova.
On August 27, we reported that IAEA Director Rafael Grossi had arrived in Kurchatov to visit the Kursk nuclear power plant. During his visit, he observed the remnants of drone strike impacts and drone fragments. Later, the agency’s head referred to the situation as serious and called for preventing a nuclear accident. According to Grossi, attacks on any nuclear power plant are unacceptable.
