"No More Time Can Be Wasted": Joint Statement of Negotiators on Gaza
Today in Doha, Israeli, American, Egyptian, and Qatari negotiators met for "technical/working level" negotiations regarding a ceasefire in Gaza, Reuters reports without providing further details.
On August 15, negotiations took place in Doha concerning the Gaza ceasefire, in which Hamas, designated a terrorist organization by the United States and the EU, reportedly refused to participate, according to the BBC.
Previously, the leaders of the United States, Egypt, and Qatar issued a joint demand for Israel and Hamas to return to the stalled negotiations over Gaza. In the joint statement, it was declared: "No more time can be wasted; neither side has any more excuses to postpone the issue."
