Iran Will Support Any Ceasefire Agreement
Iran will support any ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian radical movement Hamas and Israel, if the terms are acceptable to the Palestinians. This was stated by the Islamic Republic's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during a conversation with Khalil al-Hayya, a member of Hamas's political bureau.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran will support any agreement between the Palestinian radical Hamas movement and Israel that is accepted by the Palestinian resistance and Hamas,” said Araghchi, as cited by the official Telegram channel of Iran's Foreign Ministry.
Araghchi noted that Tehran's position on the Gaza conflict remains unchanged after the new government took office, and Iran will continue to support Palestine as before.
Meanwhile, the member of Hamas's political bureau congratulated Araghchi on his appointment as foreign minister and informed him about the progress of negotiations regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Khalil al-Hayya emphasized that the Palestinian people greatly appreciate the support provided by Iran.
