China Deems Unilateral Sanctions by the US and its Allies Illegal

China considers the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies against Chinese enterprises for alleged ties with Russia to be illegal. This was stated by China's special representative, Li Hui.

“Certain countries are taking advantage of the crisis, rallying their allies around themselves while continuing to shift the blame for the crisis,” he said. He added, “With these illegal unilateral sanctions, they threaten normal trade with Russia.”

According to him, such actions by Western countries “serve their selfish interests but are not based on facts, and the international community will never accept them.”
