Japan Accuses China of Violating Its Airspace
A Chinese Y-9 military reconnaissance aircraft has violated Japan's airspace in the area of the Danjo Islands located southwest of Nagasaki Prefecture, according to a statement from Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement mentioned, “The Self-Defense Forces responded by deploying Western Air Self-Defense Force fighter jets and issued warnings and notifications.”
In connection with the incident, Tokyo has sent a strong note of protest to Beijing. Earlier, China had informed Japan of a critical phase in their relations.
