Nikol Pashinyan and His Security Detail Assumed a Grenade Had Been Thrown at Them and Immediately Laid Down on the Ground, Lawyer Says
The person suspected of throwing an apple towards Nikol Pashinyan is 71-year-old Albert Arustamyan from Artsakh. According to the lawyer from Artsakh, Roman Yeritsyan, on the same day, family members (two daughters and a granddaughter) were taken against their will to the police station in Zeytun and kept there until 7:00 AM the next morning.
“Albert Arustamyan, who is a second-degree disabled person, was also arrested the same day and taken to the police station in Zeytun, where he was subjected to rude and contemptuous treatment. The next morning, he was transferred to the Investigative Committee. On the same day, a search was conducted at his residence in the presence of young children with the aim of finding the same type of apple (the type thrown),” the lawyer added.
Witnesses, including children from the street, report that Nikol Pashinyan and his security detail assumed a grenade had been thrown at them and immediately laid down on the ground.
