Iran Provides Details on Haniya's Death and Promises Revenge
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reported that Ismail Haniya, the head of the Palestinian Hamas movement's political bureau, was killed by a small-range missile strike using a warhead weighing approximately 7 kg. This announcement was quoted by the IRNA news agency.
The IRGC also stated that they would seek revenge for the death of the Hamas political bureau leader "at the right time and place" with a "severe punishment." The statement further indicated that Haniya's assassination was planned and executed by Israel with the support of the United States.
