Ismail Haniyeh, Leader of Hamas Political Bureau, Killed in Tehran
The leader of the Palestinian Hamas movement's political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, has been killed in an attack on his residence in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
According to Mehr news agency, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, one of Haniyeh's bodyguards was also killed in the incident. No further details were provided in the report.
In April, it was reported that Haniyeh's three sons were killed in an airstrike in the central part of the Gaza Strip.
