Trump Says He Will Not Be President If His Health Does Not Allow
Former President and U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump has stated that he will not serve as president if his health does not permit it. “If I understand that I’m doing something wrong,” Trump said during a press conference with African American journalists when asked if he would be willing to step down if his mental state deteriorates.
If Trump wins the elections, he will become the oldest president in U.S. history. At the time of his inauguration, he will be a few months older than the current leader, Joe Biden, was when he took office.
Trump does not see a problem with this, asserting that it is not related to his mental capacity. “But not mentally,” the former president said in response to comments about possibly becoming the oldest American leader.
