MOD Responds to Reports of Hospitalized Soldiers Following Accident in Tavush
There are circulating reports on social media regarding an accident involving a military truck and a passenger minibus in Tavush, along with mentions of injured individuals. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The Defense Ministry states that no soldiers were hospitalized as a result of the road traffic accident. Several media outlets have been spreading misinformation accompanied by photos of the damaged military vehicles and headlines claiming there are 6 injured, attempting to create the impression that soldiers were harmed.
Representatives from the media can obtain accurate information regarding the traffic accident from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed Auroranews that at 13:35 today, vehicles of the models 'KamAZ' and 'Gazelle' collided near the settlement of Berdavan in Tavush Province. Eight individuals sought medical assistance, but all were discharged after receiving initial treatment.
