The residents of Vardenut have stated that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is their last hope.

“Pashinyan jan, we share your pain, we want adequate compensation, we kindly ask for some sort of standardized compensation,” said the residents of Vardenut while discussing the low prices offered for their land.

The Prime Minister responded by emphasizing that finding the right balance is crucial to resolving the issue. “What is our formula? It is to find the right balance because the last variant appears to be that the investor will say, ‘Dear people, if you don’t want it, I will leave. I will go and invest elsewhere.’ When that investment happens, your economic opportunities will double and triple,” he noted.

“You are our last hope, Mr. Pashinyan, to prevent people from dying of hunger. If you do something, do it; if not, the village will be completely destroyed,” stated a Vardenut resident.
