VIDEO: Heavy Rainfall Accompanied by Strong Winds Creates Problems in Tbilisi

Last night, heavy rainfall in Tbilisi, along with strong winds, knocked down trees and damaged the city's infrastructure. This was reported by the Tbilisi City Hall.

"Late at night, heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds created problems in the capital. Particularly affected were the Samgori, Krtsanisi, and Saburtalo districts. Due to the bad weather, fallen trees damaged houses, vehicles, and communication lines. In several locations, the strong winds ripped off roofs from houses," the statement read.

All night long, representatives from the City Hall and local administrations were present at all problematic areas alongside staff from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Situations Service. The roads have already been cleared of fallen trees. The city authorities are assessing the damages, the City Hall added.

The authorities in Tbilisi are asking residents to call the Tbilisi City Hall or their local district administration if necessary.
