35-Year-Old Man Hits 69-Year-Old Neighbor on the Head with a Shovel
On June 18, at 4:20 PM, a citizen calling the operational management center of the Kotayk Police requested that a police unit urgently approach one of the houses on Charentsi Street in Yeghvard.
The operational group dispatched from the Nairi Police Department discovered that at 4 PM there had been a dispute between neighbors over household issues, during which a 35-year-old man struck a 69-year-old neighbor on the head with a shovel, causing bodily injury.
Further investigations revealed that the 69-year-old man had fired a shot into the air from a hunting rifle on his property, leading to the dispute. The two had exchanged blows with their hands and feet, culminating in the 35-year-old striking the older man with a shovel.
The hunting smoothbore rifle of the type “TOZ,” belonging to the 69-year-old man, was seized and submitted together with the compiled documents to the Nairi Investigative Division.
