EU Sends 3 Experts to Disaster Zone
The European Union has dispatched three experts through its Civil Protection Mechanism and the Spanish government to assist the Armenian government in assessing the damage caused to infrastructure by the recent floods in Lori and Tavush regions. This information was reported by the EU representation in Armenia.
"The team of experts has met with local authorities to better understand the government's needs and priorities. The assessment of damaged structures in Tashir and Alaverdi has already begun. The team is focusing on infrastructure (small bridges) that allow access to agricultural lands, while also examining residential homes," the statement said.
