How They Plan to Reduce Discontent Within the Police System: 'Pats't'
According to our sources, there is a growing discontent within the police ranks for several reasons. Informants from the system report that, first, police officers are dissatisfied with being constantly exploited. Especially after spending the previous evening and entire night on duty and becoming exhausted, not everyone was willing to report for service yesterday. This is reported by the newspaper 'Pats't'.
‘To avoid an unpleasant situation, we have information that efforts were made to involve more police from the regions, but that does not sit well with the authorities, because, firstly, it may raise questions about what regional police have to do during civil disobedience actions in Yerevan, and secondly, in that case, there would be no police left in the regions at all.’ Another point of discontent, according to our sources, relates to the actions of individual police officers, especially those in berets, which compromise the credibility of the entire police force, and public anger spreads across everyone.
Our sources indicate that the authorities seem to have 'found the solution to the problem' again in the form of promises of bonuses,” the newspaper writes.
