Bagrato Archbishop Discusses Armenian-Russian Relations
The relations between Armenia and Russia are currently in crisis. This was stated by the leader of the "Tavush for Homeland" movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, during a press conference with international media, according to the Russian news agency TASS.
“Today, the Republic of Armenia has contractual and legal relations with the Russian Federation, although these relations are, to put it mildly, not in good shape, if we don’t say they are completely or significantly disrupted. However, we have many questions for the Russian side, but the relations must be brought to the level of appropriate contractual agreements and put back on a normal course,” said Galstanyan.
He emphasized that our relations require extremely deep dialogue and mutual understanding. “At this stage, we are in a state of absence of relations. There are many issues, but we must be ready to solve all these problems at the level of understanding and dialogue,” the Archbishop stated.
