US Imposes Visa Restrictions on Certain Citizens of Georgia
The United States is imposing visa restrictions on several dozen citizens of Georgia. This concerns members of the ruling "Georgian Dream" party, as well as lawmakers and law enforcement officials.
According to the US State Department, "the reason for this decision was their activities that undermine democracy in Georgia."
